Marie has always been a lover of stories. As a kid, she would read the newspaper every morning with her Eggo waffle and then move on to her dad’s weekly TIME edition. She was rarely found without her nose in a book (shout out Sweet Valley High and Babysitter’s Club). She kept numerous magazine subscriptions as a teenager, reading each issue cover to cover. Naturally, she went on to earn a bachelor of arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia.
After spending a few years working in sales and marketing, Marie went back to school to earn her diploma in Digital & Print Publishing from Langara College. There, she brushed up on her writing and editing skills and learned the technical and design aspects of publishing. Today she is eager to use her passion for storytelling, her technical skills, and her marketing and communications experience to help brands tell their stories. She also hopes to continue to write features and profiles, as interviewing people is one of her favourite things to do.
Marie is based in Vancouver, BC, where she lives with her partner and two beautiful angel baby kittens.
